Formed in March of 2014, the photo club Kumanovo from Macedonia has grown to become one of the biggest clubs in the Republic of Macedonia, boasting about thirty members. Despite its relatively young age, the club has managed to attract world-renowned art photographers to its core, who have achieved remarkable success within the club’s short existence. Alongside their exhibitions and achievements, the club has gained local recognition for its commitment to offering free photography lessons and its efforts in working with children, fostering a passion for the art form.
The club has been honored to host numerous solo exhibitions featuring acclaimed authors from around the world. In addition, they have achieved great success through collaborative group projects with fellow clubs from various countries such as Serbia, Bosnia, Canada, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and more. These endeavors have established the club as a proud member of esteemed international photography associations including FIAP, PSA, and IAAP.
In November of 2014, the club reached a significant milestone by organizing the first festival of photographic arts in Macedonia, named the Malinski Photo Festival. This inaugural event showcased over fifteen captivating solo and group photographic exhibitions. The overwhelming response and positive reception paved the way for the festival’s subsequent annual editions. The Malinski Photo Festival has now become a highly regarded and prestigious event, setting the bar high and serving as a true exemplar of photography as a respected art form. With each passing year, the festival continues to elevate the appreciation and recognition of photography, captivating audiences with its exceptional showcases and inspiring the growth of artistic talent within Macedonia and beyond.
