Ivan Stojanovic was born in Kragujevac (Serbia) 1968. He is an IT engineer. He was interested in photography since his early childhood, when he played with the analogue photo camera “Altix” and later “Zenit E”. In elementary school, he met the magic of the dark chamber, and in 1983 he became a member of the Photo Kino Club Kragujevac.
He published photographs in numerous magazines throughout the SFRY and collaborated with agencies “Reuters” and “Associated Press”. He was an editor of photographs in the magazines “Pogledi” and “Sumadija”, and the technical editor of the magazine “Sumadijski Sportski Nedeljnik”.
In 1993, after the closing of the Photo Cinema Club Kragujevac, he made a twentieth-year pause, in order to, after the foundation of the Photo Club, Kragujevac returned to photography as his greatest love. Digital technology opens up new perspectives, and in a short time gets the title of photographer I class of the Photo Association of Serbia.
So far, he has participated in over fifty art exhibitions under the patronage of FIAP and FSS, where he has been awarded 15 awards and recognitions.
